Standards for protecting client information and handling sensitive materials throughout our engagements.
Policy statement
Van Cooper Group treats all client information as confidential by default. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information entrusted to us.
Scope of protection
Confidential information includes all non-public information received from or about clients, including:
- Business strategies, plans, and financial information
- Technical systems, architectures, and data
- Personnel information and organizational details
- Vendor relationships and procurement information
- The fact of our engagement relationship itself, unless disclosed by the client
Information handling
We implement appropriate controls based on information sensitivity:
- Secure storage and transmission of electronic materials
- Access limited to engagement team members with need-to-know
- Secure disposal of materials at engagement conclusion
- No use of client information for other clients or internal purposes
Duration of obligations
Confidentiality obligations continue indefinitely after engagement conclusion, except where information becomes publicly available or client provides written release.
NDA accommodation
We routinely execute client-provided non-disclosure agreements and can accommodate specific confidentiality requirements in engagement contracts.
Case study publication
We do not publish case studies or reference client names without explicit written permission. All public case studies are anonymized unless client approval is obtained.
