Conflict of Interest Policy
Standards and procedures for identifying and managing potential conflicts of interest in our advisory work.
Policy statement
Van Cooper Group is committed to providing independent, objective advice to all clients. We maintain policies and procedures to identify, assess, and manage actual or potential conflicts of interest that could compromise the quality or objectivity of our work.
Scope
This policy applies to all principals, associates, and advisors engaged in client work. It covers conflicts arising from:
- Other current or recent client relationships
- Personal or financial interests
- Relationships with vendors, contractors, or other third parties
- Prior employment or consulting relationships
Identification and disclosure
At engagement initiation, we conduct conflict checks against our client roster and known relationships. We disclose any identified potential conflicts to prospective clients before engagement.
Management measures
When potential conflicts are identified, we may implement measures including:
- Information barriers between engagement teams
- Recusal of conflicted individuals from specific work
- Client consent with full disclosure
- Declining the engagement where conflicts cannot be adequately managed
Independence from vendors
We do not accept referral fees, commissions, or other consideration from technology vendors, implementation partners, or other providers. Our recommendations are based solely on client needs and our professional judgment.
Ongoing monitoring
We maintain awareness of evolving relationships and circumstances that could create new conflicts during the course of an engagement, with prompt disclosure to affected clients.
